Mazda introduced a facelifted version of its Mazda 2 hatchback range in South Africa, incorporating updated styling and additional technology features across the model lineup12.
The entry-level 1.5 Active derivative received notable upgrades, including a seven-inch display with MZD Connect, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto—features previously available only on higher-specification models12. The variant also includes 15-inch two-tone steel wheels, yellow accents on the front and rear grille, and a coloured interior panel finish12.
The mid-range 1.5 Dynamic variant adds 15-inch silver metallic alloy wheels, a six-speed automatic transmission, and an expanded airbag suite that includes side and curtain airbags12. It retains features such as cruise control, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and a shark-fin antenna12.
The range-topping 1.5 Individual automatic variant includes keyless entry, automatic climate control, a reverse camera, rear parking sensors, paddle shifters, auto-folding mirrors, wireless charging and a head-up display12. It is fitted with 16-inch machined alloy wheels and features a black-and-red interior treatment12.
All Mazda 2 models are powered by a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre petrol engine12. Standard safety and convenience features across the range include ABS with EBD and EBA, ISOFIX child-seat anchors, dual front airbags, LED headlamps, push-button start, and electric windows for front and rear passengers12.
